How we choose settlements
We are selective on purpose. A settlement makes the list only if it meets these rules:
- Cash only. The settlement must pay money to class members. We skip deals that offer only credit monitoring, coupons or vouchers.
- Broad eligibility. We favor settlements open to large groups, such as all U.S. consumers or everyone who used a service. Some are limited to a state or a specific group, and each page says so up front.
- Still open. The claim deadline has to be in the future. When a deadline passes, the page comes down.
- Simple claim form. We look for settlements where you can file online without a mailed notice, Claim ID or PIN, and we describe what the form asks for before you start.
We do not list every settlement out there, so a missing settlement is not a sign that you are not owed money elsewhere. Listing a settlement is not an endorsement, and we do not decide who qualifies or who gets paid. The court and the settlement administrator do.

Each settlement defines who is covered, usually by what you bought or used and when. Open a settlement above for a short checklist, then confirm on the official site. The administrator and the court make the final call.
When do class action settlement checks arrive?
Usually after the court gives final approval, which can be months after the claim deadline. Each official site lists its schedule.
